A CHALLENGE TO YOU

Perhaps religion has never bothered you, and you have never bothered it? But if you spare a moment or two to consider some very important facts that concern you, I am sure you will give the Gospel of Jesus Christ some serious thought. It has a message for you. You have heard Christ preached in churches, on the radio — even on street corners. You have probably read articles in newspapers and an occasional book, all telling you of the love of God to you. But, my friend, right now you are still without those things that God has for you. The world is saying, "God is dead" - but the world is full of sin, sickness, disease, fear, drunkenness, unbelief and the such like: all in all a picture of misery, proving that it knows not God or His ways. The world, and the people of it (you are one of them), has a great need for reality and satisfaction. Why is there so much trouble and sadness about today? It is because man is trying to live his own life his own way, without God's help. Man has rejected God and is suffering the consequences. The Bible says, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4). You need to realise that you cannot enjoy life to the full without God. Jesus Christ came that we (you and I) might have LIFE, and that we might have LIFE more abundantly (John 10:10). To get that life we must come to JESUS — He is the way, and the only way, to the abundant life and blessings of God (John 14:6). You might argue and say you do not need God — that you've got along all right up till now, and you don't see your need of Him in the future. Just stop a minute! Have you really got the best of everything in life so far? I mean, are you really satisfied that you have all there is to have in life? Be honest with yourself! Jesus Christ said, "You will not come to Me, that you might have LIFE" (John 5:40). Do you realise that if you have not, and know not, Jesus Christ, that you do not have true life - the real life you were created for. I know you have thought that Christianity is for "old women and children," but, my friend, YOU NEED TO KNOW THE GOSPEL (which is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes), IS FOR YOU. You need the Gospel in your heart. The Gospel is not a dead religion, but a living reality, found in the living, risen Saviour, JESUS CHRIST. "God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved" (John 3:17). It is the rejection of God's Son (Jesus Christ) that has caused so much sin, sickness and heart-ache. Man has failed to realise that his problems are the result of his unbelief and disobedience to the Word of God. Your problem is not around you — it lies within you. When man gets right with God he gets "fixed up" inside. "Christ Jesus makes you whole." Why don't you face up to the fact that you need JESUS in your heart. Don't be afraid of what others may say, or think - YOU NEED JESUS! Listen to what the Bible declares, and believe it: "To as many as received Him (Jesus), to them gave He the power to become the sons of God" (John 1:12). "Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). "... him that comes to Me (Jesus), I will in no wise cast out" (John 6:37). "For whosoever (that means you) shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Acts 2:21). Please do not put this tract down and go your way. Give your heart and soul to JESUS, that He may give you His abundant life. If you do this, it will be the turning point in your life. God bless you. -
